About Anthropology in Christ

A blog by Connie Acevedo

Welcome to Anthropology in Christ, a blog dedicated to sharing encouraging, thought-provoking, inspirational, insightful reflections and uplifting stories for Christian business professionals, educators, ministers, leaders, students, pastors, and those in vocational ministry.

According to the Merriam-Webster dictionary, the noun anthropology  (an(t)-thrə-ˈpä-lə-jē, an·thro·pol·o·gy) means:

1. the study of human beings...environmental and social relations, and culture: theology

2. dealing with the origin, nature, and destiny of human beings.

Etymology: borrowed from New Latin anthropologia "study of humanity, science of human nature," from anthropo- ANTHROPO- + -logia -LOGY.

Christian anthropology goes even deeper—not just a study of humanity and life, but God's perspective, God's purposes, and His Word concerning the life He has blessed humanity with. As Jesus said, "I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly" (John 10:10, NKJV).
